What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to help site owners understand how their site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, can perform comparable functions. In this policy, we use the word "cookies" to refer to cookies and these similar technologies together.

Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. They can also be set by us ("first-party") or by a service provider acting on our behalf ("third-party"). This policy explains how Notioff uses cookies and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

Types of cookies we use

We group the cookies we use into three categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are always active; functional and analytics cookies depend on your choices, and analytics cookies are set only with your consent.

  • Strictly necessary. These cookies are required for the site and Service to function, such as keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, and protecting against security risks. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Functional. These cookies remember your preferences and choices, such as your interface settings, to give you a smoother experience. They are optional where required by law.
  • Analytics. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate so we can improve it. They are optional and are set only if you give consent through our cookie banner.

The table below summarizes each category, its purpose, and whether your consent is required before it is used.

CategoryPurposeConsent required
Strictly necessaryEnable core features such as sign-in, session management, and security. No (always active)
FunctionalRemember preferences and settings to improve your experience.Yes, where required by law

Cookies we do not use

We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use advertising cookies to build profiles of you for targeted ads across other websites or apps. We do not sell information collected through cookies. Our analytics are used only to understand and improve our own Service.

Managing your preferences

You are in control of the optional cookies we use. You can manage your preferences in two main ways:

  • Our cookie banner. When you first visit, our banner lets you accept all cookies or reject optional ones. You can reopen it at any time using the "Manage" option to change your choice.
  • Your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Because strictly necessary cookies are required, blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working properly.

Your choice applies to this site on the browser and device you are using. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you may need to set your preferences again.

Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis that they are essential to provide the Service you request. For functional and analytics cookies that require consent, we do not set them until you choose "Accept all." If you choose "Reject optional," we only use strictly necessary cookies. We record your choice so that we can honor it on future visits, and you can withdraw or change your consent at any time using our banner. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before you withdrew it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
